Friday, November 10th, the students at Clarke will be holding two special events focused on honoring Veterans for Veterans Day (November 11th). These events not only show the respect and support our military veterans deserve, but also instills the leadership skills the Clarke district is striving to teach their students al all levels.

With a systems-oriented approach, the new Director of Special Education and Special Services for Clarke Community Schools kicked off her first year in the role after more than 20 years with Green Hills Area Education Agency (AEA). Jennifer Adams-Potter has held leadership roles helping special education programs across the state with program development and more. Now she brings that focus to the Clarke district.

The Clarke Community School District continues to bring on new leadership for the 2023-24 school year. As elementary students prepare for their first days of the Fall semester, Mr. Cory Wenthe, will also be preparing for his first day with the district as Elementary Associate Principal.

In the July board meeting, the CCDC approved a discretionary grant for Murray Community Schools that helped in the purchase of more than $54,000 of new technology. Through the hard work of Jeanie Bowers, Murray’s Technology Integrationist and the grant, Murray students and teachers will start the 2023-24 school year with new Chromebooks and classroom smart boards!
