With recent renovations and expansions, Osceola and the surrounding communities will have the opportunity to experience services and efficiencies not offered in similar rural hospitals. While the physicians and staff at the hospital continue to provide outstanding care, Clarke County Hospital’s Board of Trustees works behind the scenes to provide direction for the future of the hospital.

At the end of November, members of the Clarke County Hospital Board of Trustees completed the Iowa Hospital Association’s (IHA) Trustee Education Certification Program. This program, geared toward developing hospital governance boards steeped with knowledge and foresight in hospital management best practices and the most efficient and effective use of hospital resources for the community, is offered on an annual basis to lawmakers, regulators, physicians, employees and the business community throughout Iowa.

For the Clarke County Hospital, the following Board of Trustees and Community Leaders took part and received their certification from the Iowa Hospital Association:

Clarke County Hospital has been participating in the IHA Trustee Certification Program for the last two years. Through this and similar programs, those that create policy, drive development, and make decisions on the care of the community can be assured they have the most current data and information from a State and National level to maintain Clarke County Hospital’s leadership role in the industry.
