Osceola has heard the call for affordable, available housing options. The City of Osceola has partnered with Clarke County Development Corporation to meet the needs of the growing Clarke County community.

The Meadows Development is a mixture of single-family homes and duplex units. To meet the growing demand for attainable housing, they have recently built 40 new houses in the area. Each house is 1200 square feet with three bedrooms and 2 baths. With a 10-year tax abatement on these new properties, qualified applicants can lease a brand-new home starting at just $995 a month.

“The CCDC has worked with the city to procure grants to help build the infrastructure that makes it possible for developers like Kading to build the affordable housing we hear demand for,” said Bill Trickey, Executive Director of the CCDC. “With the Meadows and the recent approval for housing development near the Senior Care Center, Osceola is ready to continue growing and meeting the needs of its workforce and their families.
